Hurricane Floyd

Hurricane Floyd made landfall near Wilmington, NC on September 16, 1999.  It left much of eastern North Carolina
under water after dumping nearly 20 inches of rain in just 24 hours.  Many of these pictures were taken several days
after the storm was over and the flood waters had receded to a safe level.
